SafeTag® Scaffold Safety Inspection Tag is a registered trademark of SafeTag® Ltd.
Safety is paramount when it comes to scaffolding. As with any large construction project where scaffolding is involved, there are various safety procedures and inspections that must take place before any work is carried out.
What is SafeTag?
Signage is essential to the safety of anyone working or supervising a work site.
SafeTag is the most suitable means of providing detailed visual signage indicating the status of the scaffolding on site.
Why use SafeTags?
The main reason to use SafeTags is to provide a visual indication that the scaffolding has been inspected and to aid scaffolding safety standards.
It is part of the scaffold inspection system that will record details relevant to the scaffolding such as scaffolding erected by, loading class, dimensions, brand and hazard identification.

How to Use
1. Attach:
The empty holder displays
‘DO NOT USE...’ symbol and should be attached to the scaffolding at any ladder access position, thus ensuring it is easily visible to all users of the scaffolding
2. Inspect:
The scaffolding is inspected periodically, as deemed appropriate by risk assessment, and signed on the insert by a competent person
3. Insert:
Once the scaffolding passes inspection then the insert is placed back in the holder, displaying the latest inspection date recorded
If equipment fails inspection at any point, the inset should be removed from the holder to display the ‘DO NOT USE...’ sign. Scaffolding should not be used until failures are rectified
